He spent years singing on the streets of Sheffield and Chesterfield for passersby, even though his powerful voice deserved a much bigger stage. His audition on <em>Britain\u2019s Got Talent 2022<\/em> completely stunned the audience and all four judges as he performed <strong>\u201cCaruso.\u201d<\/strong> Maxwell received four \u201cyes\u201d votes and a standing ovation, instantly proving his incredible talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maxwell, a 32-year-old classically trained operatic singer, began singing lessons at age 14. He grew up as a busker, earning money from street performances. While some street performers thrive, many barely make enough to survive, and most never get the chance to showcase their talent to a wider audience. That is why shows like <em>Britain\u2019s Got Talent<\/em> are so important. They give skilled performers a platform to be heard and a chance to advance to the finals. Maxwell also performed in the semi-final, singing <strong>\u201cNow We Are Free\u201d<\/strong> from the film <em>Gladiator<\/em>, further showcasing his dramatic vocal talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even if contestants don\u2019t reach the finals, appearing on the show exposes their names to talent scouts and industry professionals. For many performers, it is the only chance to be discovered. Maxwell has also recorded music in the past, including <strong>\u201cSailing On Tears\u201d<\/strong> in 2020 to support refugee charities in the UK. After BGT, he announced plans to release a debut single titled <strong>\u201cBelieve\u201d<\/strong> to raise funds for a children\u2019s hospital in Sheffield.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Maxwell Thorpe\u2019s journey from street performer to national spotlight inspires street performers worldwide.
