In her youth, the dog accompanied her owners everywhere, leading an active lifestyle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But with age, she began to lose strength and energy. And by the age of 16 she stopped walking at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The family loved Cocoa very much and wanted to provide her with a dignified old age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So that the dog can still go out with them in nature, Tom and his wife Lauren made a mobile bed for her.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"911\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/istori.website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/image-396.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4589\" srcset=\"https:\/\/istori.website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/image-396.png 911w, https:\/\/istori.website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/image-396-300x225.png 300w, https:\/\/istori.website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/image-396-768x576.png 768w, https:\/\/istori.website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/image-396-600x450.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 911px) 100vw, 911px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They put the finished dog bed on wheels and tied a rope to it so that it could be pulled like a sled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCocoa always liked taking long walks with Tom,\u201d Lauren recalls, \u201cand he knew how important it was to her. They once set the record for walking 100 thousand steps down the Virginia Beach boardwalk in just a week!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Virginia Beach resident Carrie posted the picture on her Facebook page, she didn\u2019t even know who was in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In just a few days, Carrie\u2019s post got almost 29 thousand likes. More than 55 thousand subscribers have posted it on their pages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"909\" height=\"680\" src=\"https:\/\/istori.website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/image-397.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4590\" srcset=\"https:\/\/istori.website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/image-397.png 909w, https:\/\/istori.website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/image-397-300x224.png 300w, https:\/\/istori.website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/image-397-768x575.png 768w, https:\/\/istori.website\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/image-397-600x449.png 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 909px) 100vw, 909px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>And so gradually the photographs taken by Carrie reached Tom\u2019s relative, who told him that he, along with Cocoa, became famous on the network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lauren contacted Carrie to break the tragic news: Cocoa left them shortly after this photo was taken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She sent the girl a photo of the dog, taken in her young years, and asked to add to the post \u2013 so that people would know more about her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cCocoa has left a deep mark on our hearts. In the last six months of her life, she couldn\u2019t even stand, but we were closer than ever.
