They followed an online tutorial, and it cost them around $100.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At 4 months old, Evelyn had a spinal tumor and was diagnosed with neuroblastoma. This left her paralyzed below her arms; fortunately, she eventually went into remission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The doctors told Kimberly and Brad to wait until Evelyn was 2 years old to be fitted for her own wheelchair. The wheelchair is made from a cutting board, castor wheels, and a Bumbo chair. It didn\u2019t take long for Evelyn to learn how to use it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pediatric oncologist Bev Wilson said that Evelyn is a joyful child. Evelyn constantly moves around, visiting nurses and saying hi to the other kids. It has helped her improve her bladder control, strengthen her immune system, and slowly have more control of her lower body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kimberly and Brad work hard to ensure Evelyn has a normal childhood.
