A musical theatre performer from Yorkshire, Rachel Wooding belongs to the genre of musical theatre. Her audition piece for Britain’s Got Talent was a pitch-perfect rendition of “With You,” from the musical “Ghost the Musical.” She was a clear-cut contender for the show. The performance showcased her vocal range and perfect breath control.
Since she was a child, Wooding has been performing on stage since she began her training at the Bird College of Performing Arts. It is worth mentioning that she has appeared in musical productions such as “Cats” and “Starlight Express” in Germany. She also landed the title role in the UK tour of Evita the Musical.
It was apparent during Rachel’s audition that she was nervous despite the fact that she had experience in the field. In her explanation, she said that she was singing for the first time since becoming a mother. When she pulled out a pacifier from her back pocket, it was obvious to the audience that “mom brain” had affected her.
All four judges unanimously voted for her to be sent to the next round and it was a unanimous decision. During her performance, Simon Cowell stated that she had performed the best version of the song he has ever heard, and some audience members were in tears as a result. It would appear that Rachel’s talent has not diminished at all since she became a mother!
